Roustabouts perform a variety of manual labor, cargo handling, and maintenance tasks on offshore drilling rigs. This is a physically demanding role ideal for individuals who are comfortable working in challenging environments and eager to support drilling operations. What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or demonstrated ability of oral and written communications (may be substituted in lieu of formal education)
Ability to perform heavy work (may require exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds constantly)
Willingness to perform manual labor, cleaning, and maintenance tasks
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to follow directions from Crane Operator and other supervisors
What Will Make You Stand Out
Comfortable as a Banksman using standard hand signals to direct the crane operator in lifting and hoisting operations
Familiarity with Permit to Work System, Job Safe Analysis (JSA), and honoring Stop Work Authority
