About This Opportunity</strong></p> <p>Viya Health is seeking applications from qualified backend web developers to establish an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Under this arrangement, Viya Health will issue Task Orders on an as-needed basis — scoped by project, functional area, or market (corporate or consumer) — rather than committing to a fixed project upfront.</p> <p> </p> <p>Successful applicant(s) will be placed on a roster from which Task Orders may be issued. What You'll Work On</strong></p> <p>Task Orders will be issued across our corporate and consumer-facing sites and may include any of the following:</p> <ul> <li>WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and troubleshooting</li> <li>WooCommerce configuration, extensions, and payment gateway integrations</li> <li>Custom post types, fields, and data structures via Meta Box</li> <li>Third-party integrations — including 3CX, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Google, and payment providers. This may also include integrations with WhatsApp or Contentful CMS.</li> <li>Performance tuning: caching (EverCache), image optimization (Imagify), and CDN configuration (Fastly)</li> <li>Security monitoring, firewall configuration, and vulnerability remediation (Jetpack, WPEngine)</li> <li>Analytics and tracking setup via Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Facebook Pixel</li> <li>Staging, deployment, and Git-based workflows via WPEngine, or possibly Next.js</li> <li>Accessibility compliance support in coordination with Ally tooling</li> </ul> <p>Each Task Order will define the specific scope, timeline, deliverables, and compensation. All website development and products become the sole property of Viya Health upon payment.</p> <h2> </h2> <p><strong>4. Who We're Looking For</strong></p> <p>We're looking for an independent developer or small firm with deep WordPress and WooCommerce experience, along with strong Next.js/React experience. Generalist backend skills are a plus, but platform-specific expertise is the priority.</p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of professional WordPress backend development experience</li> <li>Strong WooCommerce expertise: extensions, webhooks, custom payment gateway integration, and order workflow management</li> <li>Proficiency with PHP and the WordPress plugin/theme development ecosystem</li> <li>Experience with WPEngine or similar managed WordPress hosting (staging, SFTP, Git deployments)</li> <li>Familiarity with Elementor Pro and Meta Box for custom content architecture</li> <li>Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks within the WordPress environment</li> <li>Working knowledge of MySQL and WordPress database structure</li> <li>Comfort with Git-based workflows and basic command-line tools</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with African payment gateways (Yoco, PesaPal) or similar regional providers</li> <li>Familiarity with 3CX plugin configuration and VoIP/chat website integrations</li> <li>Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Facebook Pixel implementation experience</li> <li>Knowledge of web performance optimization: caching layers, image compression, CDN configuration</li> <li>Accessibility compliance experience (WCAG 2.1 or similar standards)</li> <li>Prior experience under IDIQ, T&M, or similar contract vehicles</li> </ul> <p><strong>5.
