Technology Development Senior Engineer

Summary of Position:

• Responsible for production ramp-up of new equipment (including installation, qualification and production implementation), Allocate resource with clear ownership for new lines ramp-up to meet the plan
• Support for qualification activities of new materials, chemistries, processes within the related function groups, support new qualification activities to meet the defined timeline and target
• Keep abreast of technical developments by maintaining constant contact with suppliers and customer, continuous support for new project/technical development, to meet the technology roadmap plan.

• Develop, design and qualification of new products, technologies, equipment, material, processes and production lines, to meet project requirements on time
• Define new product, process and equipment specifications to ensure the new product, process and equipment be introduced or installed smoothly
• Provide feasibility studies of new concepts and ideas to prove it’s workable and reliable for the new concepts and ideas
• Define and implement measurements to ensure product quality to ensure the measurements can control or monitor the product quality
• Liaison with external suppliers (equipment, material or chemical suppliers) and internal relevant departments for technological development and process improvement to ensure all tasks/projects can complete on time using the right resources
• Take responsibility in new process qualification and new product implementation to ensure the new process and product be qualified smoothly and meet the project requirements on time
• Ensure stable and robust process with full procedure compliance to manufacture high quality and reliable products to ensure the process to meet all the quality or customer’s requirement and monitor and control the stability for those processes
• Actively participate or drive project for new process qualification, new product implementation to ensure all tasks/projects can complete on time
• Continuously improve the process capability, quality, yield, productivity and resource optimization, to improve them as project required or achieve the basic requirement from customer, to improve them as project required or achieve the basic requirement from customer
• Train the new employees and transfer know-how to other engineers to relevant departments and other plant, to ensure the new employees have basic knowledge to handle their daily work and keep contribute on the project
• Document know-how and keep updating quality related details to handover the well-established processes for mass production to complete the Qualification WF timely and upload all the related document
• Provide the creative IP for developing project or to improve the process to get new IP and get acceptance
• Flexibility in work, to support on other tasks as assigned from superior from time to time

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar field, in PCB Industries, Semiconductor Manufacturing Facilities, New Product Introduction and Research and Development Departments
• Minimum Degree in Technical Field (Or equivalent);
  • Semiconductor Physics, Micro-Electronics, Electrical/Electronic, Chemistry.
• Problem-Solving: Adequate skillset for identifying issues and creating effective solutions, often requiring creativity and a logical approach. Example, DOE, 7 QC Tools, MBPS, YIP. Minimum 3 years of prior experience in relevant field.
• Communication: Fluent written and oral English, the ability to clearly explain complex technical information through both written and verbal communication is vital for teamwork and client interaction. Minimum 3 years of prior experience in relevant field.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Engineers frequently work in teams to complete projects, so collaborating and sharing responsibilities is essential. Ability to work in big teams and good mediator. Minimum 3 years of prior experience in relevant field.
• Analytical and Logical Thinking: Outstanding Statistical Proficiency, ability to think critically, evaluate situations, and use logic to solve problems is fundamental to the engineering process. Minimum 3 years of prior experience in relevant field.
• Attention to Detail: Precision is critical in engineering, as small errors can have significant consequences, Project Management Skill/Experience is an extra advantage. Minimum 3 years of prior experience in relevant field.
• Creativity: Engineers must be able to think outside the box to develop innovative and efficient solutions. Open Minded and Approach-Friendly attitude. Minimum 3 years of prior experience in relevant field.
