Tax Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated accounting professional to join our boutique CPA firm's tax practice. Our firm serves a sophisticated client base consisting primarily of high-net-worth individuals and international clients, offering exposure to a broad range of tax and accounting matters in a collaborative professional environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns
• Assistance with international tax reporting and compliance matters
• Bookkeeping and accounting support services
• Gathering and organizing client information and financial records
• Preparation of workpapers and tax schedules for review
• Correspondence with the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities
• Use of tax preparation, accounting, and trial balance software

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Public accounting and/or tax experience preferred
• Familiarity with preparation of individual and business tax returns preferred
• Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with tax software such as UltraTax CS, ProSystem FX, GoSystem, ProSeries, or similar platforms preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a professional environment
