ACCOUNTABILITY.</h2><div>RIVA Solutions is a mission-driven IT services company supporting Federal agencies through digital transformation, modernization, and innovative technology solutions.</div><h2>Program Overview</h2><div>The System Administrator V supports NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratories (ESRL) and the N-Wave national network program by providing senior-level systems administration leadership across complex scientific and research environments.</div><h2>Position Overview</h2><div>RIVA Solutions is seeking a System Administrator V to serve as a senior technical leader responsible for enterprise systems administration, cloud integration, security compliance, infrastructure modernization, and team leadership. This role supports NOAA’s mission-critical research environments and provides strategic guidance across multi-platform infrastructures.</div><h2>Core Responsibilities</h2><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li>Serve as senior technical lead for UNIX/Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.</li><li>Oversee installation, upgrades, and lifecycle management of enterprise systems and services.</li><li>Lead enterprise backup, storage, virtualization, and container platform initiatives.</li><li>Architect and enforce security posture, RMF, A&A, and continuous monitoring activities.</li><li>Conduct engineering studies and technology evaluations.</li><li>Provide expert technical guidance for specialized applications and operational environments.</li><li>Lead and mentor Systems Administrators and technical support staff.</li><li>Develop and enforce SOPs, baseline configurations, and configuration management processes.</li><li>Oversee vulnerability management and remediation programs.</li><li>Lead cloud migration planning and cloud service integration initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with scientists, researchers, engineers, and Federal stakeholders.</li><li>Drive Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and preparedness efforts.</li><li>Represent contractor teams during Government technical and policy meetings.</li><li>Conduct technical training and seminars.</li><li>Participate in on-call support and major incident coordination.</li></ul><h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.</li><li>8–10 years of progressive enterprise systems administration experience including leadership responsibilities.</li><li>Expert-level UNIX/Linux administration and advanced shell scripting.</li><li>Expert-level Windows Server and Active Directory administration.</li><li>Comprehensive networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise architectures.</li><li>Expertise with FISMA, NIST 800-53, RMF, A&A, and continuous monitoring requirements.</li><li>Experience leading complex multi-platform IT projects and technical teams.</li><li>Experience with enterprise backup, recovery, and replication architectures.</li><li>Strong technical writing and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li>macOS enterprise fleet management using Jamf Pro and Apple Business Manager.</li><li>High-performance computing (HPC) and scientific data storage environments.</li><li>Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and Federal cloud platforms.</li><li>Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise.</li><li>Federal scientific, research, weather, or climate IT experience.</li><li>Knowledge of NOAA and DOC IT policies and Federal contracting requirements.</li><li>RHCA, CISSP, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.</li></ul><h2>Salary</h2><div>$150,000</div><h2>RIVA Benefits</h2><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li>Paid Time Off / Sick Leave</li><li>Health, Dental, and Vision Coverage</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match</li><li>HSA/FSA Spending Accounts</li><li>Long- and Short-Term Disability</li><li>Pet Insurance</li><li>Wellness Program Initiatives</li><li>RIVA Flex (Flexible Hours and Hybrid Support, where applicable)</li><li>Additional Workplace Benefits</li></ul><h2>Equal Opportunity Statement</h2><div>RIVA Solutions is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
