Service Associate (Financial Services - Account Receivable)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Associate (Financial Services - Account Receivable) to join our team at Sutera Harbour Resort in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This full-time position is an integral part of our accounting and finance operations, focused on maintaining efficient accounts receivable processes.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and credit control
2. Process and reconcile customer payments in a timely manner
3. Liaise with customers to resolve billing inquiries and disputes
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis
6. Collaborate with the broader finance team on month-end and year-end closing activities
7. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance/accounting role
2. Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and colleagues
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
6. Familiarity with Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting practices
