Description:

  • Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver executive-level messaging, sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer-centric solution narratives.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover business requirements and map them to Okta CIAM solutions.
  • Whiteboard solution architectures and explain how Okta’s CIAM offerings support customer requirements.
  • Design, build, and execute outcome-focused proof-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Okta customer identity products, technologies, and protocols.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and Auth0.
  • Collaborate with the Global Office of the Field CTO to surface field insights, validate customer needs, and identify trends for Product and Engineering.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.
  • Contribute to enablement frameworks, tools, and content that help Solutions Engineering teams execute effectively.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in a presales or customer-facing role, including at least 3 years working on CIAM projects.
  • 8+ years of development experience, preferably focused on application integration with identity services.
  • 8+ years of experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
  • Experience with customer identity and access management solutions such as Okta or Auth0.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas using whiteboarding, practical examples, and product demonstrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience contributing to technical events.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
  • Must be located in the USA and able to attend an in-person onboarding session.
  • Preferred: Full-stack web application development experience across frontend and backend.
  • Preferred: Mobile development experience for iOS or Android.
  • Preferred: Experience architecting and integrating scalable CIAM solutions using API-first approaches across web, mobile, and cloud platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience with AI-driven customer experience integration in Auth0, including AI agents, MCP servers, and fine-grained authorization.

Benefits:

  • Annual OTE of $170,000–$256,000 for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Annual OTE of $152,000–$228,000 for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
