<p>We are seeking a permanent full-time <span style="font-weight: bold">Senior Coastal Engineer </span>which can be based <br>in any of our <br>offices (hybrid) or if you’re not located near an office, you can work remotely from your home office with occasional travel to our offices in Eastern Canada. <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Key Responsibilities:</span> </p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and execute coastal modelling studies</li>
<li>Develop hydrodynamic and wave models</li>
<li>Perform wave runup, overtopping, and flooding analyses</li>
<li>Support design of marine and coastal infrastructure</li>
<li>Size armourstone and coastal protection systems</li>
<li>Interpret metocean and climate data</li>
<li>Prepare technical reports and client deliverables</li>
<li>Support multidisciplinary engineering teams</li>
<li>Mentor and coach junior staff</li>
<li>Lead the proposal and business development process</li>
</ul>

<p><span style="font-weight: bold">Qualifications:</span> </p>
<ul>
<li>Degree in Civil, Coastal, Ocean, or Water Resources Engineering. Preference for a Masters or PhD in a related program.</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with preference for experience in:
<ul>
<li>Coastal and marine hydrodynamic modelling</li>
<li>Wave modelling and wave runup analysis</li>
<li>Current modelling and sediment transport</li>
<li>Sea level rise and coastal flooding assessments</li>
<li>Armourstone sizing and revetment / breakwater design</li>
<li>Numerical modelling for marine infrastructure design</li>
<li>Port, harbour, shoreline protection, and coastal structure projects</li>
<li>Climate resilience and adaptation for coastal infrastructure</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Consulting experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience delivering engineering design packages and technical reports</li>
<li>Project experience, working on projects such as marine terminals, breakwaters and revetments, harbour and port infrastructure, shoreline stabilization, etc.</li>
<li>Software and Modelling skills, in programs such as:
<ul>
<li>MIKE21 / MIKE Powered by DHI: Hydrodynamic (HD), Spectral Waves (SW), Sediment Transport (ST) and Coupled Modelling.</li>
<li>GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS)</li>
<li>AutoCAD / Civil 3D</li>
<li>Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation</li>
<li>Experience with LiDAR, bathymetry, and metocean datasets</li>
</ul>
