The candidate would support acquisition programs in proceeding through the equipment spectrum certification process to enable the legal radiation of spectrum dependent systems. The process includes creating Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessments (SSRA), developing equipment spectrum certification packages using NTIA software tools like EL-CID/online, working with the Navy Marine Corps Spectrum Center (NMSC), obtaining J/F 12’s, assisting in the spectrum assignment process within the US&P and for Host Nation Coordination (HNC).</p> <br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br><br><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva;"><strong><u>Description:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva;">Provide technical expertise to the engineering team regarding EMC and the electromagnetic spectrum for Navy/Marine Corp spectrum dependent systems. This includes air/land/sea based systems.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva;">Navigate multiple spectrum and frequency allocation databases to find information on systems of interest and apply this information to various platforms.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva;">Research and evaluate spectrum dependent system and equipment characteristics along with performance criteria.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva;">Review the intended use of the equipment and determine and assess its conformance to applicable spectrum standards as defined in the NTIA Manual.
