Recurring Remote Production Support Content - Editor

<p>The Recurring - Remote Part Time Production Support Editor edits basic to standard content to support all ESPN Production groups and performs supporting functions including media ingest/conversion, graphics creation, and audio production. Responsibilities outside of this description may be required based on company and/or department initiatives. This role is remote based without a corporate office location.</p><p> Responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Edits basic to standard projects using Avid technology and Adobe After Effects and other editing platforms</li><li>Staffs daily sessions for assigned to projects including features, teases, packages, etc.</li><li>Display functional knowledge of all Post Production technologies including ingest/output of media, file conversions, media distribution, and quality control</li><li>Identifies and Reports technical issues in a timely manner</li><li>Meets deadlines and displays well-developed time and resource management skills</li><li>Adheres to all administrative responsibilities including time entry, daily shift reports compliance training and Performance Connection requirements</li><li>Adheres to all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</li><li>Embraces new technologies and concepts in workflow</li><li>Displays consistent growth and development of all required craft editing knowledge and skills</li><li>Participates in bi-monthly clinical workshops</li><li>Contributes to special projects/assignments as scheduled</li><li>Utilizes strong interpersonal skills and professional communication to ensure client satisfaction</li></ul><p> Basic Qualifications: </p><ul><li>Valid Drivers License</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of Non-Linear editing experience</li><li>Computer experience with Microsoft office software skills</li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Ability to travel</li></ul><p> Preferred Qualifications: </p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to craft compelling visual stories through effective use of SOT (sound on tape), pacing, and story arc structure.</li><li>Work independently and creatively without direction from Producer or others</li><li>Video Editing experience on Avid, Final Cut, Premiere or Quantel platforms</li><li>Solid understanding of editing file structures, broadcast measurements, and A/V formats</li><li>Solid understanding of the theory and esthetics of graphics creation, color correction, and audio production</li><li>Excels in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through solid collaboration efforts</li><li>Able to promote excellent customer service through individual, departmental, and interdepartmental support</li><li>General Sports Knowledge </li></ul><p> Required Education: </p><ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li></ul><p> Preferred Education: </p><ul><li>College or Technical School degree in communications, electronics, television production, or related field</li></ul><p>#ESPNmedia</p>The pay rate for this remote role is $22.00 - $88.50 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
