As the NPI Program Manager at ASTRODYNE TDI SDN. BHD., you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of both customer-facing and internal projects. You will ensure all initiatives align with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational goals regarding cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams—including Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Operations—to facilitate seamless New Product Introductions (NPI), successful design transfers, and the continuous improvement of existing product lines.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Leadership: Drive the execution of new product developments and product transfer initiatives; coordinate with NPI engineers to ensure all project milestones are achieved on schedule.
CM Collaboration: Actively manage relationships with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) by overseeing order readiness, driving project priorities, and resolving technical or resource-related bottlenecks.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with NPI teams and key stakeholders to define product requirements, allocate resources, and proactively mitigate project risks.
Technical Consulting: Provide business process and technical expertise on complex programs, interfacing between Test Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and external vendors.
Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement risk strategies across mechanical design, electrical integration, software systems, and automation processes.
Technical Translation: Convert complex customer technical requirements into actionable inputs for the NPI and Operations teams.
Manufacturing Alignment: Ensure all product development is optimized for current manufacturing capabilities and process requirements (DFM).
Executive Reporting: Analyze program health and present detailed risk evaluations and progress reports to corporate leadership.
Change Management: Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) in strict compliance with customer specifications and regulatory mandates.
Compliance: Maintain and implement operational practices in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) standards.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, specializing in Process Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 8–10 years of engineering or project management experience within an Electronic, Semiconductor, or EMS manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of product assembly processes, quality reliability standards, and end-product applications in the electronics industry.
Core Competencies: Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), Program Management, or Production Engineering.
Specialized Expertise: Hands-on experience with Box Build, High-Level Assembly (HLA), and PCBA is required.
Tools & Methodologies: Familiarity with BOM, RFQ, FMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a significant advantage.
Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational issues.
