This role supports the Vice President of Mortgage Quality Control and Compliance at Greenway Mortgage Funding Corp. Primary functions include analysis of QC results, identification of trends and control gaps, initial preparation of reporting for management, and supporting corrective action planning. The position also assists in updating and implementing QC and compliance policies and procedures, contributes to training and researches internal and external audit findings. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepares reports and files for third-party QC audit vendor and conducts comprehensive reviews of auditor’s findings including performing monthly vendor oversight to verify compliance with investor, insurer, and guarantor guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA, as well as applicable federal and state regulations. • Prepares and delivers quality control reports to Vice President, QC & Compliance. • Assist with filings and reporting for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, private investors, and state regulators in accordance with required timelines and standards. • Assist with MERS functions • Reviews Neighborhood Watch reports to identify early payment default files for review • Performs monthly HMDA reviews and identifies missing or inaccurate data. • Researches and resolves mortgage loan exceptions identified through audits and quality control reviews and assists management in developing appropriate responses and corrective actions. • Partners with VP QC & Compliance to provide guidance and risk assessment support for regulatory, compliance, and operational audits and procedures • Assist with researching and reviewing disclosures and other documents to ensure compliance with applicable mortgage lending regulations. • Monitors industry and internal quality control and compliance trends, identifies opportunities for improvement, and recommends enhancements to procedures and practices. • Responds promptly to issues identified through reviews, escalates concerns as appropriate, and supports timely resolution of high-priority matters. • Identifies potential system-related issues discovered through the quality control process and coordinates with the appropriate support teams for resolution. • Assists with the review, development, and maintenance of policies and procedures. • Other related compliance reporting functions QUALIFICATIONS • 3 to 5 years of conventional and government underwriting and/or quality control functions; FHA DE designation required • Compliance and risk management experience a plus • Knowledge of NMLS licensing functions a plus • Strong research skills • In-depth knowledge of mortgage operational processes • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines • Self-starter that can manage multiple priorities • Strong familiarity with industry regulations, TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, BSA/AML, etc.
