Internship - Data Analytics

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and driven Data Analytics Intern to join our team at Sembonia, one of the top rapidly growing brands of leather-wear with all extensive range of products that includes shoes, bags and other leather accessories. This full-time internship, based in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, offers hands-on exposure to various aspects of data analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis to identify performance trends and insights
• Conduct root cause investigations to identify root cause for performance gap, rooms for improvement, underlying business risk or bottlenecks that business team are/will be facing
• Work together with various stakeholders to develop solutions/ improvement plans for process and/or performance related issues
• Work together with various stakeholders to implement new process/ process changes
• Work together with product team to develop product (website, Apps etc.) enhancement to meet business needs
• Track project progress; identify, report and resolve issues and risks in order to launch initiatives on-time and smoothly
• Prepare presentation materials which are pitched at the right level for its audience (e.g. operations staff vs. management)

Job Requirements:

• Major in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain qualification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability of excelling in fast-paced, changing and ambiguous environments.
• Strong numeric and analytical ability.
• Skill in advanced Excel (data modelling, visualization) is a strong plus.

Candidates who demonstrate strong performance during the internship may be considered for a permanent role.
