Global Controller

<p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced US Controller to lead its U.S. accounting function. <em>This role oversees accounting operations across multiple U.S. entities and offices, manages a small team, and partners closely with finance leadership in Europe.</em> The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, proven people leader, and hands-on accounting professional with experience in financial services.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for multiple U.S. entities</li><li>Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, forecasting, and accounting operations</li><li>Manage and develop accounting staff supporting multiple U.S. offices</li><li>Coordinate annual audits, financial statements, and regulatory reporting</li><li>Partner with internal and external tax advisors on federal, state, and local tax matters</li><li>Lead budgeting and forecasting processes</li><li>Ensure compliance with payroll, retirement plan, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across the finance function</li><li>Collaborate with global finance teams and business stakeholders across multiple regions</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience</li><li>Financial services experience required; private equity experience strongly preferred</li><li>Experience working within a global or multinational organization</li><li>Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams</li><li>Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, audits, tax, and internal controls</li><li>CPA and/or public accounting background preferred</li><li>Experience with process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives</li></ul>
