<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Job Purpose/Summary</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">The Electrical Hardware Design Engineer II assists in the design, development, and testing of Knowmadics’ next-generation electronic products. In this role, the engineer transitions schematic designs into physical circuit boards and spends significant time in the lab validating designs, working alongside senior engineers and gaining hands-on experience across the entire product development lifecycle from initial concept to manufacturing.</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Duties and Responsibilities</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Schematic & PCB Design: Assist in creating electrical schematics and routing printed circuit board (PCB) layouts.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Lab Testing & Validation: Perform hands-on testing, debugging, and bring-up of prototype electrical printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) and systems.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Component Selection: Research and select electrical components based on performance, cost, and availability constraints.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Documentation: Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), test plans, and assembly instructions.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Collaboration: Partner with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to resolve hardware-related issues.</span></li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Qualifications</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical field.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Experience: 0 to 2 years of professional or extensive internship experience in electrical hardware design.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">EDA Tools: Hands-on experience or familiarity with industry-standard design tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD Capture, or Mentor PADS is highly desirable.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Lab Skills: Practical experience using laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, and soldering tools.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Troubleshooting: Basic understanding of circuit analysis, signal troubleshooting, and PCA hardware testing methodologies.</span></li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Working Conditions</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">Employees may be called upon to participate in in-person meetings, trainings, or company functions at Knowmadics offices or other designated locations. Travel in support of business operations may also be required, and employees are expected to comply with these obligations as part of their position.</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">Should be willing to work in a variety of settings as needed. Flexible to work long hours as required.</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Physical Requirements</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">Prolonged periods working at a desk and computer, as well as in a laboratory or prototyping environment. Frequent use of hand tools, soldering equipment, and electronic test instruments. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.</span></p>
