We are looking to hire a Nonprofit Controller for our Client Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) who can work in our Tampa office. CAAS helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><ul><li>Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.</li><li>Coordinate and directs the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization. Prepare financial information.</li><li>Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.</li><li>Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations.</li><li>Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI).</li><li>Monitor and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions.</li><li>Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.</li><li>Communicate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Education/Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but not required.</li><li>Experience: 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required (Nonprofit industry and back-office accounting experience is highly preferred). Public accounting experience preferred but not required.</li><li>Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems.
