Position Objective:

The Compliance Officer/Executive is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Group’s compliance framework to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. The role will cover regulatory monitoring, tender compliance, internal audit support, risk management to strengthen the organisation’s compliance culture and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance Framework & Policies

•Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and controls.

•Support internal controls and risk control processes to ensure effective compliance management.

•Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory obligations, internal policies and ISO Standards (eg. ISO 27001 ISMS, ISO 9001 QMS)

Regulatory & Monitoring

•Track and assess changes in the regulatory landscape (e.g., data protection, anti-bribery & corruption, cybersecurity) and advise the business on implications.

•Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and submissions in a timely manner.

•Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external parties on compliance-related matters.

Tender Compliance

•Review compliance-related documents and declarations required for tender submissions.

•Ensure licences, registrations, and certifications remain valid and updated for tender eligibility.

•Maintain a central repository of compliance documentation for tender and audit readiness.

Annual Report & ESG Compliance

•Support the preparation of compliance-related disclosures in the Annual Report (e.g., governance, risk, compliance statements).

•Coordinate and consolidate compliance inputs required for ESG reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory and industry standards.

•Work closely with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR etc) to gather compliance and ESG data.

•Monitor evolving ESG compliance requirements (e.g., Bursa Malaysia sustainability reporting, anti-bribery guidelines, environmental disclosures) and advise the business on updates.

Risk & Audit

•Maintain and update the Risk Registry, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of control measures.

•Support the planning and execution of internal compliance audits and inspections.

•Identify compliance gaps and track the implementation of corrective/preventive measures.

Training & Awareness

•Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes for employees.

•Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to business teams, escalating complex matters where required.

•Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across the organisation.

Documentation & Reporting

•Maintain proper records, registers, and documentation of compliance activities.

•Prepare periodic compliance reports and dashboards for management and Board committees (where applicable).

•Support ad-hoc compliance projects and initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.

•2–5 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit

•Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, governance practices, and risk management principles.

•Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., data protection, anti-bribery & corruption, corporate governance).

•Experience with tender compliance and internal audits is an advantage.

•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work across departments.

•High integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
