About the position

We are seeking a results-driven Product Manager to lead Client Identity and Access Management (CIAM) strategy execution for KeyBank’s Consumer and Small Business channels. This role is pivotal in advancing fraud prevention and client protection by modernizing authentication and supporting the CIAM program. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance and technical leadership for secure, seamless client experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for identity verification and authentication in Consumer and Small Business channels.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination.
  • Implement CIAM standards and orchestrate authentication flows within consumer banking and payments platforms.
  • Define metrics for fraud detection and authentication performance.
  • Analyze account takeover and credential compromise trends; develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain CIAM documentation and strategic roadmap.
  • Support annual review and attestation of CIAM capabilities.
  • Stay current on B2B and high-value transaction authentication threats and innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in identity, access management, fraud, or cybersecurity roles.
  • Experience with authentication orchestration platforms and CIAM tools.
  • Strong understanding of channel-specific client behaviors and risk profiles.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, NIST 800-63).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep understanding of FIDO standards and non-phishable authentication protocols.
  • Experience implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) across diverse channels.
  • Knowledge of biometric, possession-based, and behavioral authentication methods.
  • Experience contributing to governance reviews, technical assessments, or advisory forums.
  • Ability to translate authentication risk into actionable business and technical requirements.

Benefits

  • This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of \$71,000.00 - \$125,000.00 annually.
  • Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
