The property features 243 guestrooms, including 28 suites, 2 hospitality suites, and a Presidential Suite, with most rooms offering ocean views and others overlooking gardens or the pool. With 16,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, the hotel hosts a wide range of events, from corporate functions to social gatherings. The hotel is committed to excellence and to building a strong, collaborative team that supports both guests and colleagues.</p><p><strong>Role Description</strong> This is a full-time, on-site Catering Sales Manager role based in Virginia Beach, VA. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing catering and event business, including corporate meetings, social events, and group functions. Daily activities include responding to inquiries, preparing customized proposals and contracts, conducting site tours, and coordinating with clients to understand event requirements such as menus, room setups, and audio-visual needs. The role partners closely with the food & beverage, banquet, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely communication of event details and to oversee event execution as needed. The Catering Sales Manager also maintains client relationships, performs follow-up after events to ensure satisfaction, and supports revenue goals through accurate forecasting, reporting, and participation in sales meetings and property events.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Demonstrated expertise in Catering Sales, including prospecting, building client relationships, and closing business.</li><li>Strong Event Planning capabilities, with experience coordinating meetings, social events, and banquets from proposal through execution.</li><li>Commitment to Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a guest-centric approach and professional communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including catering menus, service standards, and banquet event order processes.</li><li>Previous hotel, hospitality, or event venue experience in a sales or catering role strongly preferred.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines, with strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Proficiency with office software and hospitality sales or event management systems (e.g., CRM, sales & catering platforms).</li><li>Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event and business needs.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is a plus.</li></ul>
