<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>The BCBA provides clinical supervision, caregiver training, and approved indirect and administrative services to assigned clients. </p><p><strong>Client Caseload</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Minimum:</strong> 1 active client</p></li><li><p><strong>Maximum:</strong> Up to 20 active clients</p></li><li><p>Caseload assignments are determined by availability, experience, and operational needs.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Service Hour Categories & Definitions</strong></p><p>All BCBA time must be classified as <strong>Direct</strong>, <strong>Indirect (Clinical)</strong>, or <strong>Administrative (Non-Clinical)</strong>. Accurate classification, documentation, and approval are required.</p><p><strong>Decision Rule (Applies to All Hours)</strong></p><p><strong>If the activity impacts treatment or clinical decision-making → Indirect.</strong></p><p><strong>If the activity is coordination, communication, or availability → Administrative.</strong></p><p><strong>1. Direct Services (Billable – Client-Facing)</strong></p><p>Direct services involve real-time interaction with the client or caregiver and must occur during scheduled sessions.</p><p><strong>Includes:</strong></p><ul><li><p>BT/RBT supervision sessions</p></li><li><p>Parent / caregiver training sessions</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>2. Indirect Services (Billable – Clinical)</strong></p><p>Indirect services are <strong>clinical in nature</strong> and directly support treatment outcomes and decision-making.</p><p><strong>Includes:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Treatment planning and program modification</p></li><li><p>Assessments and reassessments</p></li><li><p>Data analysis and interpretation</p></li><li><p>Clinical case reviews</p></li><li><p>Weekly report review and clinical input</p></li><li><p>Clinical team meetings focused on treatment decisions and client progress</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Excludes:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Scheduling or logistics</p></li><li><p>General coordination</p></li><li><p>Operational meetings</p></li><li><p>Routine messaging or availability</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>3. Administrative Services (Non-Clinical)</strong></p><p>Administrative services are <strong>non-clinical activities</strong> required for coordination, communication, and availability, but not for clinical decision-making.</p><p><strong>Includes:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Weekly office hours (1 hour per week)</strong> dedicated to:</p></li><li><p>Slack availability</p></li><li><p>Answering team questions</p></li><li><p>General coordination support</p></li><li><p>Emails related to scheduling, logistics, or operations</p></li><li><p>Meetings with Operations, PMs, or PSs not focused on clinical review</p></li><li><p>Meetings with PMs or PSs outside scheduled sessions when the purpose is administrative</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Limits & Rules:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Administrative hours are <strong>capped at 4 hours per month per BCBA</strong></p></li><li><p>Administrative time is <strong>not client-based</strong></p></li><li><p>Administrative hours require <strong>prior approval</strong></p></li><li><p>Unapproved administrative hours will not be paid</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Service Allocation Requirements (Per Client – Monthly Allocation)</strong></p><p>Contract BCBAs are assigned a <strong>standard monthly allocation of hours per client</strong>, designed to support clinical quality and payer compliance.</p><p></p><p><strong>Scheduling, Adjustments & Approval Process</strong></p><ul><li><p>The <strong>Operations Team</strong> is responsible for building and maintaining BCBA schedules based on the standard hour allocation per client.</p></li><li><p>If a client requires <strong>additional hours beyond the standard allocation</strong>, the request process is as follows:</p></li></ul><ol><li><p>The <strong>Program Director</strong> reviews the clinical need</p></li><li><p>A formal request is submitted to <strong>Operations</strong></p></li><li><p>Operations reviews and approves prior to service delivery</p></li></ol><ul><li><p>When required by the payer, the <strong>Program Director may need to complete an addendum or clinical justification report</strong> to request authorization for additional hours from the insurance provider.</p></li><li><p>Services delivered outside of the approved allocation or without authorization may not be reimbursed or paid.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation Structure</strong></p><ul><li><p>Entry-level BCBA: <span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cd5da2a1-7fff-bdd8-3d11-a7cb423d8c9e">$72,000–$78,000/year</strong></span></p></li></ul><p>Rates are determined by experience, certifications, and scope of responsibility.</p><p>*Indirect Services and Administrative Services are billed at differing rates.</p><p><strong>Documentation, Compliance & Oversight</strong></p><ul><li><p>Weekly availability must be submitted to Operations</p></li><li><p>Direct services must align with scheduled appointments</p></li><li><p>Indirect and administrative work may be completed flexibly but must meet monthly deadlines</p></li><li><p>All documentation must include:</p><ul><li><p>Date of service</p></li><li><p>Time of service</p></li><li><p>Client (if applicable)</p></li><li><p>Service category (Direct / Indirect / Administrative)</p></li></ul></li></ul><p>Beyou reserves the right to audit hours, service classification, and documentation. Misclassification, overuse, or non-compliance may result in delayed or denied payment and corrective action.</p>
