About the position

As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the dedicated team at the delivery station, which serves as the final stop before packages are delivered to customers. This role is fast-paced and active, requiring you to receive trucks full of orders and prepare them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts, transporting, and staging deliveries for drivers to pick up. You will be expected to utilize technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders efficiently. In this position, you will engage in various physical activities, including lifting packages weighing up to 49 pounds, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You will also be required to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around the warehouse. Depending on the specific location, you may need to navigate stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You will experience varying temperatures, which can range from 60°F to over 90°F in certain areas, especially during hot days in the truck yard or inside trailers. The noise level can be high, and hearing protection is provided if necessary. The dress code is relaxed, but safety is paramount, requiring comfortable, closed-toe shoes, and in some cases, protective safety footwear. Amazon offers a variety of shifts to accommodate different lifestyles, including full-time, reduced-time, and part-time options, with the possibility of working additional hours. You can choose from overnight, early morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts, and even have the option of four-day workweeks with three-day weekends.
